MYL-S Bradford hosted their “Eid Fesitival 2012” at Thornbury Centre on Leeds Old Road on 1st September 2012. It was indeed a fun-packed, successful and busy day for the MYL Sisters.  The eagerly awaited“Eid Festival 2012” was promoted as a womens and childrens event only and entailed many acitivities for everyone who attended, the day was aimed to provide fun and interactive activities for the local community as well as raising funds for the various projects MYL-S UK are carrying out accross UK.

The first study circle of MYL-S Bradford took place on 23rd July 2012 in Manningham library. Alhamdulillah we had a full house and the study circle attracted many non-MQI members.

On 7th July Saturday 2012 Muslim Youth League Sisters of Bradford attended a fundraiser in Grange Technology College; the funday was called the Grange ‘Summer Mela’ and was definitely a fantastic event. Amongst different acts of comedy and entertainment, the star performance was by Colin Nell, a professional freestyle footballer who amazed the audience with his different moves.  Another spectacular performance was by the popular US Nashed artist, Kaleem Salama. His beautiful melodious voice made sure that his message was transferred to the young people and the atmosphere was very beautiful and peaceful. The students were overjoyed by both performances, especially that of Colin Nell who performed different tricks and there many fans waiting for his autograph!

On Sunday 15th April 2012 the Pearls of Knowledge class organized a Mawlid un Nabi to commemorate the blessed birth of the Prophet (SAW) under the guidance of Allama Abdul Saeed, scholar of Minhaj ul Quran Bradford. The Pearls of Knowledge class takes place on weekends in which a broad range of subjects are studied such as Quran Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic, Sarf, Nahv as well as the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

On 8th July Sunday 2012 the Minhaj Women’s League in Bradford organised a grand programme that commemorated the 5th annual anniversary celebrating the success of the Halaqa e Durood in Bradford. The event was beautifully organised by President of Minhaj Women League, Mrs Jannat Elahi who allocated Mrs Riffat and Mrs Rubina Raja, Minhaj Women League members, to co-host the event. Mrs Riffat introduced the theme of the programme and thanked the audience for attending the blessed event. She also spoke briefly about the blessings of Durood Sharif. She stated that regular recital of Durood Sharif increases our love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) and establishes recognition between the person reciting the Durood Sharif and Holy Prophet (SAW)


With the grace and blessings of Almighty Allah (SWT) and his beloved Rusool, the much anticipated fundraiser took place in Bradford on 20th May 2012, organized by the Minhaj Women’s League in conjunction with the Muslim Youth League of Bradford. The fun day was organised to boost funds for the construction work taking place which will expand MQI Bradford and create more facilities for the local community.
